ECOS Club Christmas Tree Challenge.
The ECOS Club decorated a reused 4 ft Christmas Tree for the contest Student Activities held for all student organizations. Unfortunately, our homemade aluminium can decorations did not win, and lost to SGA’s Public Relations tree (decorated as half Nightmare Before Christmas, half Miracle on 34th St). Regardless, we had a blast decorating it together. We created a garland out of soda tabs and yarn, and went into recycle bins to collect soda cans. We cut those into snowflakes, stars, light reflectors and swirls; our main ornament was made from an Arizona tea can!
Christmas Tree Contest + Pictures Coming Soon.
Hello ECOS,
Thank you to everyone who helped decorate our tree!! This year we decided to go with an aluminum can theme, and so we dug into the recycle bins to get used cans, and then cut them into ornaments and snowflakes. We also made a tab garland and made several other DIY ornaments that followed our recycle bin. We will certainly have a good chance of winning, and then we’ll have a pizza party for the club if we do. I will be uploading pictures onto our blog of the tree next week. I will have the pictures from Fall Festival up on the blog by the end of the day today. The tree can be found in the Psych lab if anyone wants to stop by. Thanks again for everyone who helped out!
Stay Green,
